Dalaal Diam Lodge is not a hotel.
It is an unconventional guest house, born of a slightly mad dream: to create a self-sufficient place, respectful of its environment, where you come to slow down, breathe and reconnect with what matters.
No air conditioning here, no television, no manufactured entertainment. Comfort lies elsewhere: in birdsong at daybreak, the rustle of wind through the filao trees, sunsets over the bush and time given back to you.
Our accommodations, each one different, sit within an estate of several hectares devoted to preserving nature and the wellbeing of those who live here, human and animal alike.
Dalaal Diam is also home to a sanctuary sheltering horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, rabbits, pigeons, hedgehogs and other animals taken in over the years.
Meals, inspired by African and European cooking, are prepared in a simple, family spirit around a shared table.
Between walks, wildlife watching, reading, meditation, unwinding beside the saltwater pool or simply taking in the landscape, everyone is free to find their own rhythm.
More than a place to stay, Dalaal Diam is an experience of disconnecting, and of reconnecting with yourself, with others and with the living world.
