Osiris Loft - Bird Observatory50m21 to 4 people

An exceptional panoramic view over the lagoon, the savannah, the baobab forests and Guereo hill.

One room with 2 double beds and mosquito nets. Sitting area.

Worth knowing before you book: the shower and toilet are not inside the loft. They are on the ground floor, reached by an external spiral staircase — so you step outside the accommodation to get there, at night as well.

Those stairs take a little confidence, and we would rather say so before you book: they may not suit guests with reduced mobility, they deserve some thought if you are travelling with young children, and if the idea of going down them at night makes you uneasy, another of our accommodations will feel more restful.

Electric water heater (on request).

Osiris is also our only accommodation whose shower runs on salt water, drawn straight from the well.

We provide jerrycans of fresh water for you to rinse off.

INCLUDED: solar electricity stored in batteries.

Our electricity is produced and stored using solar energy. How long it lasts depends on everyone's consumption. To keep the batteries going right through the evening, please switch off lights and fans when you are not using them.

The sockets are intended only for charging phones, tablets, cameras and laptops. High-consumption appliances (hairdryers, kettles, hotplates, irons and the like) are not permitted, as they can quickly drain the batteries and leave every guest without electricity.

The fresh water for the showers is brought in each week from an off-site borehole and stored in our tanks. In our Sahelian environment it is a precious resource, and we invite you to use it sparingly. The toilets are supplied by our local brackish water network.

Thank you for helping to preserve these resources and for taking part in our approach to responsible tourism and reconnection with nature.

The eco lodge concept means electricity and water are available but not unlimited. Our technician will guide you on good electricity management — essential to make sure you have enough power for your evenings!

The entrance airlock has been specially designed to keep out insects and outside dirt.
